New Delhi, Auto Desk. Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its SUV portfolio in the coming years, which will include new generation Brezza, Baleno-based crossovers, Jimny and a range of mid-size SUVs. According to media reports, the company may change the name of Vitara Brezza to Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Which is currently on sale in the global market, it is being speculated that this SUV may be launched in India soon.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara will have a tough competition with these cars

If the new generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is launched in India, it will face direct and tough competition from the already existing cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Tygun, MG Aster and Skoda Kushak. Many new and modern changes can be seen in the exterior and interior of the new Suzuki Vitara.


In terms of dimensions, this new generation SUV could be longer and wider than the current generation. Talking about its length, it will be 4175mm long, while it has 1775mm width and 1610mm height. Its wheelbase will be the same as the current model. Inside the cabin, the new Suzuki Vitara will get HD touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, a fully digital instrument cluster with customizable layout, ambient mood lighting, 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and electronic parking brake.


Coming to the engine, the new Suzuki Vitara SUV will be powered by the 1.4L K14D Boosterjet petrol engine coupled with the SHVS mild hybrid system for power. The latter packs a 48V battery pack with 8Ah capacity and generates 13.6PS of power. The battery pack will house multiple engine support systems, including features such as torque boost and torque fill control.

Let us tell you, Maruti Suzuki has not yet issued any official statement regarding the launch of the new Vitara in the Indian market. More details about Maruti Suzuki’s future plans are expected to emerge in the coming months.
