Apart from this, permission has not been given to the famous Ramlila in the city for the last 40 years.
So far the festival has lost its luster due to Corona infection. However, after the second wave, now the administration has relaxed to a great extent. Along with the installation of Ganesh idol, necessary guidelines were given regarding the installation of Durga idol in Navratri and organizing Durgotsav. This time also all the events of Ravana Dahan have been canceled. The administration has also not allowed private organizers to burn Ravana.
Ramlila used to be attractive on Wednesdays
For the last 40 years, Ramlila has been organized in Budhwari Bazar railway zone, but due to corona infection, this event is not being organized since last year. Here after staging Ramlila, Ravana was burnt. People used to reach from far and wide to see this Ravana Dahan and Ramlila.
Mannequin making according to order
Here, the artists who make Ravana say that people may not take effigies of Ravana of 10 to 12 feet due to the rules, but they will take effigies of six feet. At the same time, effigies of three feet have always been the choice of children. Keeping this in mind, the artisans have started shaping the effigies.
Artisan Rohit Rao Kamle, resident of Old High Court Road, says that we hope that Dussehra will be celebrated in homes and people will buy effigies of Ravana to celebrate in homes. In this hope, preparations for Dussehra have been started from now and effigies are being made. We are mostly making effigies of three feet each. Rohit says we are preparing Ravan according to the order also.
Corporation will also not organize
On the other hand, Corporation Commissioner Ajay Tripathi said that the district administration had issued guidelines for the Navratri festival. A separate guideline has not been issued regarding Ravan Dahan. Thousands of people reach to see Ravan Dahan. Therefore, it is not appropriate to organize Ravan Dahan. The events that the Municipal Corporation used to organize every year, they will also not be held this time.
