The first rain of pre-monsoon in Ratangarh tehsil of Churu district has exposed the municipality and the local administration. Due to the pre-monsoon rains late on Monday night, the water accumulated in the main markets of the city, including the low-lying areas and hospital ward, did not drain even after 12 hours. Due to this people had to face a lot of trouble.

The road was completely closed on Tuesday due to rain water filling in Railway Station Road, Government Jalan Hospital premises. The water accumulated in front of the hospital was not drained even till Tuesday evening. Patients are facing a lot of trouble due to water logging in the hospital premises. At the same time, passengers going to the railway station and bus stand are also facing problems. Due to the filling of water at places in the city and non-drainage of water till the second day, there is resentment among the people and traders of the area against the municipality. Due to the filling of water in front of the station road and the hospital, the traders could not even open their shop. Keeping in mind the monsoon, if the municipality had got the drains cleaned in time, then this problem would not have happened today. A rally was taken out in the city on Tuesday afternoon on behalf of various Hindu organizations, which have also faced the problem of water.
