Hyderabad, IAS. OPPO announced on Thursday that the first 5G call was made from its side. This is the first VoNR call to be made on 5G network. VoNR means Audio/Video on New Radio. This call was made from Hyderabad’s 5G lab. Such 5G VoNR (Voice/Video on New Radio) calls were made on the company’s latest Reno6 series smartphone. It used an end-to-end 5G standalone network.

5G may be rolled out by March 2022

5G calling from Oppo can prove to be an important step towards the rollout of 5G technology in India. It is expected that 5G service can be rolled out in India by March 2022. At present, telecom companies are doing 5G trials. Meanwhile, tech brand OPPO has successfully completed its first 5G VoNR call in India.

5G network calls in India

This was the first 5G call by OPPO, which has been made from the 5G lab in Hyderabad. This 5G call is called 5G VoNR call. Oppo has tested this call with its new Reno6 series, which has happened on a single band 5G standalone network.

Extended 5G trial time

Let us inform that the time of 5G trial has been extended to May 2022. Telecom companies are doing their 5G trials on the 3500MHz band. At the same time, 5G trial was successfully conducted by Airtel on 700MHz band today. OPPO India is working towards providing 5G solution on standalone network.

Will get 6G connectivity soon

The central government has promised to provide 6G connectivity in India soon. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 6G connectivity can be rolled out in India by the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
