Punjab Youth Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has ordered to install vehicle tracking system in all private buses on Tuesday. Earlier this system was installed in government buses. By the way, these systems have been installed so that the buses run on time and oil theft can also be stopped. This information is given in the app system of Punjab Roadways. The advantage for which the government had installed VTS systems in government buses, was now beginning to suffer.
Even before the arrival of government buses, private buses used to carry passengers from the base with the help of this system and only women traveling free of cost were available to government buses as passengers. This move of Vading has been praised by the roadways employees. Government buses are running on their own time due to vehicle tracking system. On the route on which the buses have to go, private bus operators fill the bus number on the Punjab Roadways app and track where the bus is at the moment and on which route it is going. Even before his arrival, private bus operators used to reach and pick up the passengers. It is often seen that the drivers used to be arbitrary, and used to stop the buses for 20-25 minutes at some dhaba. You cannot do this after the vehicle tracking system is installed. Under this system, panic buttons have been installed for the safety of women, using which a direct message reaches the information department of Punjab Police. Apart from this, it will be easy to check the over speed on the roads of Punjab, stopping the bus without any stop and the buses running late.
