Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday appealed to the political leadership to maintain national unity so that the country can be overcome from the cash crunch.

A day earlier, Sharif had offered dialogue to former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to resolve the ongoing political and economic crisis in the country.

Speaking at the Golden Jubilee session of the Senate, Sharif said economic stability cannot be achieved without political stability.

Imran Khan also gave a hint of reconciliation and said that he is ready to talk to anyone and make any sacrifice for the progress, interest and democracy of the country.

He tweeted on Thursday, “We will not back down from any sacrifice for the progress, interest and democracy of Pakistan.”

Khan said, “I am ready to talk to anyone and take every step for this.”

In the Toshakhana case, Imran Khan is accused of not keeping the gifts received by foreign leaders in the government treasury and collecting money by selling them. In this case, Imran Khan is constantly adopting tactics to avoid arrest. Targeting the government over his arrest, Imran Khan said that he thinks people will sleep after Imran Khan goes to jail.
