Pass in the 10th and 12th board examination of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MP Board) has become easier. In order to improve the result, the MP Board has changed the exam pattern from the session 2021-22. The question paper will now have objective type questions of 40% marks. 33 marks are required to pass. School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar said that according to the new education policy, the pattern of MP Board examinations has been changed.

MP Board is experimenting for many years to improve the 10th and 12th results. Earlier the board had implemented best of five in 10th. In this, even if a student fails in one subject and passes in other 5, then he is considered passed. In this, the examination results of 6 subjects of 9th and 10th students are calculated for 5 subjects only.

Accordingly, in 5 subjects, the result is prepared on the basis of the subjects with the highest marks. Due to this there was an improvement in the 10th result, but the students started taking interest in only five subjects instead of 6. This reduced the attention of most of the students to Mathematics and English subjects.

paper will be like this

After the decision taken in the Board’s Curriculum Committee meeting, objective type questions were reduced to 40% in the 10th and 12th papers. This pattern has been implemented from the session 2021-22 i.e. from this session. Till now, objective type questions of 25% marks were asked in 10th-12th examination. The new blue print has also been implemented in the quarterly examination to be conducted by Public Education from September 24.
