Congress leader Pawan Khera, who has been granted interim bail in a case of alleged derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday said he salutes the judiciary and is grateful that the Supreme Court upheld his freedom.

Khera was arrested by the Assam Police on Thursday in connection with an FIR lodged over his alleged remarks. Earlier, Kheda was offloaded from the Delhi-Raipur flight. Assam police arrested Khera when he was on his way to Raipur to attend the party’s national convention.

A Delhi court granted interim bail till February 28 to Kheda, arrested by the Assam Police for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Modi. Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered Khera to be granted interim bail in the case registered in Assam.

After being released, Khera told reporters outside the Dwarka court that he was protected by the law and was grateful that the apex court upheld his freedom of expression. Party supporters garlanded him outside the Dwarka court.

Talking to the media, Congress leader Khera said that he salutes the country’s judiciary, which has upheld his freedom of expression. He said that he along with his party is fighting the battle of truth to strengthen the country’s democracy. Are.
