The Uttarakhand government will prepare a ‘Photography Point’ at Kedarnath Dham in memory of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who played the lead role in the film ‘Kedarnath’. Devotees and tourists visiting Kedarnath, especially fans of Sushant will be able to take photographs at this ‘Photography Point’ named after him.
Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the tourism department of the state has been directed to prepare an action plan in this regard. Maharaj said, “I have proposed to set up a photography point in Kedarnath in the name of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant had made a good film (Kedarnath) here. We want to pay tribute to him by making a photography point of his name in Kedarnath.
The minister said that he has directed the tourism department to attract Bollywood to Uttarakhand so that good films are made here and tourism should also be promoted. Significantly, most of the shooting of Sushant and Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Kedarnath’, released in 2018, was done in Kedarnath and surrounding areas. Based on the Kedarnath tragedy of 2013, Sushant played the role of a kandi operator (the one who takes the pilgrim to the shrine by sitting in the kandi) in this film.
