Sachin Pilot said that at the time of elections we had raised corruption issues against Vasundhara Raje, but in four years we could not take action against her.
Rajasthan:
In the growing dispute between the two top Congress leaders in Rajasthan, the entry of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been made. Sachin Pilot today questioned why Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s government did not act on corruption allegations against BJP’s Vasundhara Raje.
Speaking at the Jaipur Lit Fest, Sachin Pilot said, “The government should act on the allegations against Vasundhara Raje. There is still one year left.”
Pilot said, “When we were in the opposition, we raised corruption issues against Vasundhara Raje. But in four years we could not take action against her. There is still one year left.”
The comments came after a video showed Ashok Gehlot saying that a “big coronavirus” had entered the party after the pandemic, without naming his rival.
Gehlot was heard telling people at the pre-budget meeting, “I have started the meetings again.. Pehle Corona tha.. Hamari party me bhi ek bada corona aa gaya hai.”
The bitter words from both the leaders indicate a growing rift in the Congress ahead of the Rajasthan elections later this year. Sachin Pilot has started a solo campaign in Rajasthan for the elections, where he raised questions on his own government.
