PM Modi meets Draupadi Murmu; Said- “All sections of the society appreciated his nomination”

PM Modi on Thursday met NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu and said that her nomination was well received by all sections of the society across the country. He also appreciated his understanding of India’s main problems and his vision for the country’s development.

Prime Minister Modi said, “Met Draupadi Murmu ji. Her presidential nomination has been appreciated by all sections of the society across India. Her understanding of grassroots problems and India’s development is excellent.”

YSRCP agrees with PM’s statement, ‘Murmu will be a great President’

After the announcement of Draupadi Murmu’s candidature for the presidential election from the NDA side by BJP party president JP Nadda on June 21, she has received support from all political circles. Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP welcomed the announcement of Draupadi Murmu as its candidate in the presidential election. On June 22, on Twitter, YSRCP general secretary and parliamentary party leader Vijayasai Reddy agreed with the PM’s statement that Murmu would make a great President and extended his best wishes.

JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda said Murmu is not only a tribal candidate but also an able person for the post. He also said that the NDA’s choice for the post is “appropriate and non-controversial”. Gowda said “In my opinion, the candidate who was chosen (by the BJP) is actually one of the suitable candidates. When she was the governor of Jharkhand, no one spoke against her there. in Odisha).

Odisha CM said, ‘Proud moment for me’

The candidature of former Jharkhand Governor and Odisha-born Draupadi Murmu was welcomed by Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik. He congratulated Murmu and said, “Congratulations Draupadi Murmu on being announced as the NDA’s candidate for the country’s highest post. I felt happy when PM Narendra Modi ji discussed this with me.”
