Prisoners in Himachal are learning the nuances of sports: Training of sports being given to prisoners in Dharamshala Jail, prisoners who like to play volleyball and badminton

Not only does the jail administration try to improve the prisoners, while various social organizations are also coming forward in this. In this episode, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has started Parivartan Prison to Pride programme. Under which the inmates of Lala Lajpat Rai District and Open Jail Dharamshala are being given training in various sports.

These sports include volleyball, badminton, chess and carrom board, while most of the prisoners are interested in volleyball and badminton. IOC has selected various prisons across the country under Parivartan Prison to Pride programme, in which Lala Lajpat Rai district and Open Prison Dharamshala have been selected in Himachal. IOC trainers are training the prisoners in various sports and on November 2, matches will be organized for the prisoners taking training for the games. It will be the effort of the jail administration that the members of the jail staff should also ensure their participation in the sports activities of the prisoners.

Sports competitions of prisoners will be held on November 2.

Significantly, the Parivartan Prison to Pride program was started by the IOC from October 2 on Gandhi Jayanti. Under this one-month program, after giving training to the prisoners in various sports, sports competitions of the prisoners will be organized on 2nd November at the end of the program.
