New Delhi, Online Desk. Indian middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara will be the vice-captain for the team against New Zealand in the Kanpur Test match. Regarding the first Test match, he said that the young batsman of the team Shubman Gill will definitely be included in the Indian playing XI. Pujara said that Shubman Gill has been playing good cricket consistently since his debut and this talented batsman is very keen to play further. Pujara told these things to Sportskeeda during a virtual press conference.

Pujara said that at this stage we cannot disclose it, but look, Gill is a talented player and he will definitely be a part of the team. He is very talented and has been playing good cricket since his debut. It was unfortunate that he could not play in the Test series against England. Well personally I think they need to tell a lot more. When Pujara was asked on which batting order Shubman Gill would be fed in the first Test match, he did not openly answer anything.

Regarding Gill’s batting order, Pujara said that the head coach of the team is with us and he will guide the best about it. I think Shubman Gill has to show his natural game. I can’t say at which number he will bat but I think he is well prepared for this Test series and very excited to bat. Let us tell you that the first Test match between India and New Zealand will be played in Kanpur from November 25. Ajinkya Rahane will captain Team India in this Test match in the absence of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli will return in the second match and he will take over the captaincy of the team.
