Jagran Correspondent, Ludhiana. Punjab Schools Summer Vacations: All government, government aided, private schools in Punjab will conduct classes in offline mode from May 15 to 31. Apart from this, the summer vacations will be from June 1 to 30. Meanwhile, the timings for primary classes will be from 7 am to 11 am and for middle, high and senior secondary from 7 am to 12.30 pm. All the District Education Officers, School Heads have been instructed by the Education Department that schools can conduct classes in offline mode from May 15 to May 31.

During this time there will no longer be a need to conduct online classes. After this decision of the department, there is a wave of happiness among the school operators. Unit tests were going on in private schools anyway, which were to continue till the last week of May. The private schools had argued that the government’s earlier instructions to start online classes were hastily given that the schedule of the entire session is fixed at the beginning of the session in private schools. In such a situation, the unit test could not change the schedule. These instructions have been issued on Friday.
