Commonwealth Games gold medalist PV Sindhu will not be a part of the upcoming 36th National Games to be held in Ahmedabad due to injury. However, India’s badminton queen was in Gujarat on Thursday i.e. October 29 to be a part of the opening ceremony of the National Games held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Apart from participating in the inaugural function, PV Sindhu also participated in the Navratri celebrations.

While Neeraj Chopra played Garba during Navratri celebrations in Vadodara, a day later PV Sindhu did the same and enjoyed Garba during Navratri celebrations in Ahmedabad. The former world No. 1 was seen dancing on the stage with former shuttler Trupti Murgunde and former athlete Anju Bobby George. Sharing the video from the event, Sindhu captioned it, “During Navratri when in Ahmedabad, dance! Just go for it. Kya anand aa raha hai.”

Sports Authority of India (SAI) also shared PV Sindhu’s garba video on its official Twitter handle. SAI captioned the picture, “It’s Garba night for @Pvsindhu1. Sindhu in public amid Navratri celebrations in Ahmedabad. She can be seen enjoying Garba with athletes @anjubobbygeorg1 and @TMurgunde.” See.”

PM Modi talks about the importance of National Games Anthem and Mascot

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the opening of the 36th National Games on Thursday, 29 September. The Games will be held from 29 September to 10 October. Talking on the National Games anthem and mascot and their importance, PM Narendra Modi said, National Games Anthem means Judega India, Jeetega India. The official mascot of the 36th National Games, Savage, inspired by the lions of Gir, represents the strength, grit and determination of our athletes.”

The latest edition of the National Games will be held in Gujarat for the first time. Addressing the people after the inauguration of the 36th National Games, PM Modi said, “I am very happy to come to this opening ceremony of the National Games. I welcome all of you. Today we have created history! The largest stadium in the world.” Hosting the biggest sporting event for a country with the youngest population. The atmosphere is beyond words. More than 50,000 students are associated with the National Games.”
