Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched the ‘COVID Nyay Campaign’ on Wednesday. During this, he has demanded the Government of India to provide accurate figures of deaths related to Kovid in the country and compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased. Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter, “The Congress party has two demands – correct figures of the Kovid dead should be given and a compensation of Rs 4 lakh should be given to the families who have lost their loved ones due to Kovid.” has lost it.”
He demanded that- “If you are in power, you have to remove the suffering of the people. Proper compensation has to be provided.”
Sharing a video of several families from Gujarat, the Wayanad MP took a jibe at the “development model of Gujarat”. He said the Congress spoke to the people in Gujarat, who lamented that they did not get hospital beds, oxygen and cylinders when needed.
In the video, former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi alleged that contrary to the official figures, more than three lakh people have succumbed to the Covid virus in Gujarat. The old party launched the ‘Covid Nyay Abhiyan’ from BJP-led Gujarat, where elections are due by the end of next year.
Gujarat reported 36 new Covid cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 8,27,267, while one patient died in Navsari, the third death so far in November. The total death toll has gone up to 10,092.
