Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the safety of Rahul Gandhi is his first priority. The party will follow all instructions of the security agencies to ensure Rahul’s safety. On Sunday, the Bharat Jodo Yatra under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi resumed from Hiranagar in Jammu and Kashmir amid tight security.
Addressing the media, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “There can be no compromise on the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s security. This is our top priority. We will follow whatever the security agencies say.”
Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ entered Tapyal-Gagwal in Samba district at around 8 am. Along with Rahul Gandhi, J&K Pradesh Congress President Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Raman Bhalla and hundreds of workers were also present. After covering a distance of about 25 km, the yatra will resume from Vijaypur in Samba to Jammu on Monday.
Congress yatra continues despite terror attacks
Two back-to-back blasts were reported in Narwal area on Saturday morning between 10 to 15 minutes. In this case, the police have registered a case under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 16, 17 of the UAPA. J&K Police has arrested six people so far. According to sources, nine civilians were injured in the blasts.

Police suspect that IEDs were used to carry out the twin blasts.
