A Rajasthan government engineer was suspended on Friday for violating security protocol and trying to touch President Draupadi Murmu’s feet during an event on January 4. The Public Health Engineering Department suspended the engineer after the intervention of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The order of the Chief Engineer (Administration) of the department states that Amba Seoul, junior engineer of the department, broke the protocol by trying to touch the feet of the President at the inauguration program of the Scout Guide Jamboree at Rohet on January 4, so she will be put under Rajasthan Public Service Rules. is suspended with immediate effect.

Seoul was at the venue to see the water system. But breaking the President’s security cordon, she was able to reach the front row of officers who were present there to welcome the President.

He went ahead and tried to touch the feet of the President, but was stopped by the security personnel of the President. The local police released them after questioning.

The Union Home Ministry took this incident seriously considering it a serious lapse in the President’s security and sought a report from the Rajasthan Police.
