‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’ is going to release on March 17 this year. In May 2011, Anoot and Sagarika lost custody of their children, three-year-old Avigyan and one-year-old daughter Aishwarya, after Norwegian authorities objected to hand-feeding, describing it as force-feeding. He also said that the children do not have enough space to play. They were also accused of providing inappropriate clothes and toys to their children.

Norway’s Child Protective Service also objected to the father’s bed and insisted that the child should have its own bed. After a diplomatic row between the two countries, the Norwegian authorities decided to give custody of the children to the father’s brother, so that he could bring them back to India.

However, by then there had been a rift between Anujan and Sagarika. Sagarika had to take legal measures to get the custody of her children. Sagarika brought her children home after a long legal battle. She was given the custody of her son Abhigyan and her daughter Aishwarya by the Calcutta High Court in January 2013. After winning the battle, in a 2013 conversation with NDTV, Sagarika said, “It is a great relief and I want to say thank you to my well-wishers.”

She said, “My ordeal is finally over. I can’t express my feelings, as I haven’t been able to meet my kids since a long time. I just pray to God that the kids stay with me forever.”
