Captain Faf du Plessis (73 not out off 50 balls) followed by a scintillating performance by the bowlers led by Vainindu Hasaranga (five for 18), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) match on Sunday. Here Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated by 67 runs. After this victory, the team has 14 points in 12 matches while Hyderabad has 10 points in 11 matches. Batting first, RCB bundled out Hyderabad’s innings for 125 runs in 19.2 overs after scoring 192 for three.

Du Plessis hit eight fours and two sixes in his 50-ball innings. He put on 105 runs for the second wicket with Rajat Patidar (48) and 54 runs for the third wicket with Glenn Maxwell (33). Patidar hit four fours and two sixes in his 38-ball innings, while Maxwell hit three fours and two sixes in his 24-ball innings. Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 30 runs in the last over with four sixes and a four in an unbeaten eight-ball knock. He hit three consecutive sixes in the last over against Fazlhaq Farooqui, playing his first match. The team scored 25 runs in this over. For Hyderabad, Jagdish Suchit took two for 30 in four overs while Karthik Tyagi took one wicket for 42 runs in four overs.

Shashank Singh opened the account with a six in this over but Hazlewood turned the match towards his team by dismissing Tripathi and Karthik Tyagi (zero) in two consecutive balls. In the next over, Hasranga dismissed Shashank Singh (eight) and Umran Malik (nil) in successive deliveries, taking the team’s score from 114 for five to 114 for nine. Harshal wrapped up Hyderabad’s innings by dismissing Bhuvneshwar (eight) in the last over.

After winning the toss, RCB had a poor start after electing to bat first. Suchit made Virat Kohli walk on the first ball of the innings itself. In the current IPL, he was dismissed for the third time without opening the account on the first ball. However, Duplessi and Patidar did not let this affect the team. Patidar expressed his intentions by hitting a six against Tyagi while Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fourth over. In the power play, the team’s score became 47 runs for one wicket.

Umran Malik, who came to bowl in the eighth over, scored 20 runs in which Du Plessis’s six and four were included. Du Plessis hit a boundary against Tyagi in the 12th over to complete his fifty and the team’s century in 33 balls. This is his third fifty in the current season. Suchit, who came to bowl in the next over, got the second success by sending Rajat Patidar to the pavilion by getting caught by Rahul Tripathi. Maxwell, who came to the crease, expressed his intentions by hitting a six in the same over.

Tripathi gave life to Karthik on the third ball of the 20th over and the ball went for a six. Karthik took the team’s score beyond 190 by hitting a six in the next two balls and a four on the last ball.
