Relief to choreographer: Mumbai magistrate court granted bail to Ganesh Acharya, accused of sexual harassment and assault

Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya has been granted bail by a magistrate court in Mumbai in a sexual harassment case. This case against him was registered in Mumbai’s Amboli Police Station in February 2020. In this, Ganesh was accused of assault by an assistant choreographer. Along with this, she also alleged that when she went to meet office in 2009-10, she was forced to watch pornographic videos. After receiving the complaint, the Mumbai Police had filed a charge sheet against Ganesh.

Ganesh assaulted two people: Complainant
According to reports, Ganesh Acharya was never arrested in this case. When Ganesh appeared in the magistrate’s court on June 23, he was granted bail. At the same time, the complainant alleged that two more people had also committed harassment along with Ganesh. This entire incident happened during the program of Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association, this program took place on 26 January 2020 in Andheri. According to the complainant, there was sexual harassment with her earlier.

A conspiracy is being hatched to implicate me: Ganesh
After receiving the complaint, Amboli Police of Mumbai registered a case against the choreographer under several sections of IPC. Ganesh was booked under Sections 354-A Sexual Harassment, 354-C Capturing Photos, Videos of Woman’s Private Act, 354-D Chasing, 506 Criminal Intimidation and 509 Words or Gestures insulting any woman. . However, Ganesh had also given a statement in this whole matter. He had vehemently denied all the allegations against him. With this, he had said that neither I knew the woman complaining and it was a conspiracy to implicate him.
