Punjab Police denies terrorist incident, according to sources, explosives kept in office exploded

A blast took place on Monday night outside the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali. However, there was no report of any injuries. Police said on Monday that a rocket propelled grenade or RPG was fired from the road of the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali, which broke the glasses. Police called it an RPG-like attack and termed the blast as minor. On Sunday, the Punjab Police had arrested two persons from a village in Tarn Taran district and recovered 1.5 kg RDX from them.

According to sources, the Punjab Police has denied the terror incident. According to sources, the explosive kept in the office has exploded. The blast is not a terrorist incident. The blast took place in the Mohali Vigilance Building. The Chief Minister has taken complete information about the matter from the DGP. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is constantly in touch with the officers. It is worth noting that on April 24, this incident of blast happened a few days after the explosive material was recovered near Burail Jail in Chandigarh.

A minor explosion was reported at around 7:45 pm at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Sector 77, SAS Nagar, Mohali Police said. No damage has been reported. Senior officials are on the spot and investigation is going on. Forensic teams have been called.

It is worth noting that four days ago in Karnal, Haryana, adjoining Punjab, the police had foiled the plot of a major attack. The police had arrested four suspected terrorists living in Punjab associated with Khalistani terrorism and ISI with weapons and RDX. All four were arrested from Bastara toll in Karnal. The four were going towards Delhi in an Innova car. The arrested suspected terrorists are said to be Gurpreet, Bhupendra Amandeep and Parvinder Singh, residents of Punjab.

According to the information, Harvinder Singh, a resident of Pakistan, has four companions. Karnal police is investigating the matter. Regarding the arrested suspected terrorists, the Karnal SP had told that terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda had given orders to them. It is being told that the four suspected terrorists were to be sent to Telangana IED. Their location was sent from Pakistan. Earlier these people had supplied IED at two places. An FIR has been registered against them at Madhuban Police Station. ACP Indri is probing the case.

A country-made pistol, 31 cartridges and 3 iron containers were recovered from them. Along with this, cash of one lakh 30 thousand rupees was also recovered. Three youths are residents of Ferozepur. A young man is a resident of Ludhiana. It is being told that the main accused had met another youth in jail.
