Significance of Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat
Lord Shri Ganesha removes all the troubles of his devotees, that is why he is known as Vighnaharta or the destroyer of obstacles. Lord Shri Ganesh is the first worshipper, by worshiping him all the obstacles are removed. Chaturthi date is considered to be of special importance for their worship. The Sanskrit meaning of Sankashti is the loser of trouble or freedom from obstacles and unfavorable times. Sankashti Chaturthi is considered one of the most auspicious days to please Lord Ganesha. On this day Lord Shiva declared his son Ganesha as the best among all the gods.
