Seniors took up ragging at MLB College in Gwalior; 20 rounds of fire at senior’s house in the night

A case of ragging has come to the fore in Gwalior’s MLB College. Senior students took ragging of a BA second year student. He got the junior student to hold a sit-in meeting and beat him with a rod when he protested. On Thursday late night, bike-borne youths opened fire at the house of a senior student associated with the same incident. This broke the glass of the house. The senior has accused the junior student of committing a deadly attack. Junior student complained of ragging to the Principal Prof. KS Rathore. After this the matter was handed over to the Anti Ragging Committee. Separate complaints have been made to the police from both the sides.

There was ragging in college like this, the matter reached the police station
Student Vikram Singh Tomar has written a complaint to the principal. He wrote- I am a student of BA 2nd year of MLB College. I was going to class in the morning, when Manoj Gurjar, a senior BA final year student, Sanjeev Gurjar stopped going to the class and asked which class you belong to, what is the name? After telling the name, he said that organize a sit-in meeting. On refusing to do so, he was beaten up and then a sit-in meeting was organized. Said – We are your seniors. He also told his name. This dispute was going on, at the same time someone informed the police of Kampu police station. Dial-100 reached the spot as soon as the information was received. They took me with them, asking them to complain to the police station.

After the firing, bullet marks were seen on the wall and ceiling.

Senior accused of murderous assault
There was a fight between Manoj Gurjar and Vikrant Tomar, a student in MLB College, whose student Vikram Singh had complained to the Kampu police station, but the matter did not end. Some boys opened fire at Manoj Gurjar’s house late Thursday night in Balajipuram of Madhauganj police station area. Manoj immediately informed the police. Student Manoj Gurjar has accused junior students Vikram Tomar, Raja Yadav, Dilip Tomar and Divyansh Mehra of firing and attempting to kill him.

Police have found shells of bullets from the spot, the victim has said of firing 15 to 20 rounds.

The attackers opened fire by targeting
Manoj said – 10 to 15 people riding guns in two vehicles came from Shankar Chowk. I was lying on the upstairs room. Younger brother and children were watching TV. The attackers fired 15 to 20 rounds one after the other. A bullet came out near my bed. I hid my mother, younger brother and children here and there. I don’t have any dispute with anyone. They fired shots at the target. The glass of the house was broken by the bullet. On the complaint of Manoj, the police have registered a case against Vikram Tomar and others.

The windows of the window were broken by the bullet.  Glass shattered all over the house.

The matter was handed over to the ragging committee.
MLB College Prof. KS Rathore said that a student Vikram has complained about ragging. The matter has been handed over to the Anti Ragging Committee. After investigation, action will be taken as per rules.

CCTV footage is being scrutinized to identify the attackers
Madhauganj police station in-charge Mahesh Sharma says that there has been an incident of firing in Balajipuram. CCTV cameras are being watched to identify the attackers. There was some dispute in the morning in the college, we are also investigating about that angle.
