The family of famous small screen actor Shaheer Sheikh, who played the role of Arjun in Mahabharat, had to face a big trouble recently. A fire broke out at his house in Andheri West, Mumbai, on the night of January 25. At that time the actor’s wife, his parents and a 16-month-old baby girl were in the house. After hard work and hard work of fire fighters, the whole family was saved safely. Shaheer’s wife Ruchika Kapoor has shared the entire incident on her Instagram.
Ruchika wrote, “We got a call at 1.30 in the night that the building was on fire. As soon as we opened the door, black smoke started coming in. It was not possible to get out from there. We just had to wait, but didn’t know for how long. I called Shaheer. I didn’t panic too much, because even Shaheer would have panicked.”
Ruchika told that her father is on a wheel chair and daughter Anaya is only 16 months old. It was not possible to go below the 15th floor. Ruchika started putting wet towels under the gate. Then the firefighter reached there and asked Ruchika and the whole family to tie a wet cloth on their nose so that they would not have trouble breathing. Also, the actor’s wife told how Shaheer along with the fire fighters managed everything.

At around 3.30, Shaheer entered the house along with his brother and four fire fighters. First the girl child and her mother were rescued. Later Ruchika and her father were brought down. The father was brought down from the 15th floor in a wheelchair. By 5 o’clock everything became normal. Ruchika wrote in the caption that it was the longest night of her life. Along with this, he has also thanked the brave fire fighters.
Many big celebrities commented on Ruchika’s post and expressed their concern. Several fans including Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor also commented on Ruchika’s post. Actor Shaheer Sheikh has also expressed his gratitude to the fire fighters and Mumbai Police while sharing the post on Instagram, as well as terming them as real heroes.
