Local Shiv Sena leader from Surat, Paresh Kher told the media that Nitin Deshmukh came out of the hotel and came to a crossroads, where he sought help from us to go to Mumbai. By the time we reached the crossroads, the police was catching them and taking them to the hotel. We also followed him, but we were stopped at the hotel bar.
Police beat up after uproar in hotel
Shiv Sena has claimed that when Nitin was creating a ruckus in the hotel about going to Mumbai, he was beaten up by the police officers at that time. According to the information received there, during the uproar in the hotel, there was a scuffle between the local police officer and the MLA, after which Nitin was admitted to the hospital.
Raut said – Nitin had a heart attack
Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has said that Nitin Deshmukh has suffered a heart attack in a Surat hotel, but the people of BJP are keeping him hostage. Raut further said- 9 of their MLAs have been kidnapped. Police will fully investigate the matter. 9 MLAs want to come back to Mumbai, but they are not being allowed to come back.

40 MLA Surat to Guwahati Airlift
On the second day of the political turmoil, 40 rebel MLAs including Eknath Shinde reached Guwahati by special flight. BJP leaders received him.
