New Delhi, auto Desk, Skoda Kushak compact SUV was launched in India almost a year back. It is currently available in three trims namely Active, Ambition and Style. On Monday, it has been updated and launched in a new edition. Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo It is based on the top spec styling variant of the old Kushaq. It comes with blacked-out exterior cosmetic changes and several exterior updates. The company has launched this car at a price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s New in Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo?
Skoda’s new Kushaq Monte Carlo gets an all-black exterior treatment, which replaces all the chrome and silver elements on the standard car. The grille, wing mirrors, roof rails, gate handles and bumper inserts come in black color and so are the front and rear skid plates. It also gets a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels. You also get red brake callipers with the 1.5 TSI variant.
It also gets prominent ‘Monte Carlo’ badging on the front fenders, while the letters ‘Skoda’ and ‘Kushak’ on the tailgate are also seen in black. Similarly, the roof has been finished in black, while the tailgate spoiler gets a dual-tone red and black finish. The Kushak Monte Carlo is available in only two exterior colors Red and White.
On the inside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo gets a new dual-tone red-black theme in place of the standard car’s grey-black interior. While the basic layout remains the same, there are inserts of new color options on the dashboard, center console and all four doors. Additionally, the seats get a new red-black upholstery with contrast red stitching and ‘Monte Carlo’ written on all headrests. It also gets ‘Monte Carlo’ inspired door scuff plates.

On the other hand, if we talk about the features, then it gets an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and new aluminum pedals. Apart from this, LED headlamps, automatic wipers and headlamps, 10-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity, ventilated front seats, 6-speakers with sub-woofer, 6 airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system are seen.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Engine
The Kushaq Monte Carlo is available with all four powertrains that are offered on the compact SUV. It gets powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine that is capable of producing 115hp of maximum power and 175Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. In this you also get a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine, which is capable of generating 150hp power and 250Nm torque. It gets 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox options.
These cars will compete
In the compact SUV space, the Kushaq competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, MG Astor and Nissan Kicks. Of these, only the top-spec special edition models of Creta and Seltos are there.
