SL vs WI Test: West Indies cricketer Jeremy Solozano is making his Test debut against Sri Lanka on Sunday. The debut of the young player, playing his first match in international cricket, could not be memorable as he got injured on the very first day of the Galle Test. Sri Lankan batsman Dimuth Karunaratne hit a short towards the leg side, which went straight to the helmet of Jeremy Sologano, fielding at short leg. After being hit hard, the 26-year-old Caribbean player took off his helmet and fell to the ground.
Fielding at short leg, Solozano’s helmet hit the grille, after which he lay on the ground. When the match resumed after the lunch break, Solozano was taken to the hospital for a scan.

Let us tell you that Jeremy Solozano made headlines by being a part of the West Indies squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2014. After playing for Trinidad and Tobago in the Professional Cricket League and the 2019-20 regional Super 50 tournament, Solozano was selected in the Windies Test squad for the tour of Sri Lanka. He scored a total of 1686 first-class runs in 40 matches before making his Test debut on Sunday.
Following the incident on Sunday morning, Windies Cricket took to their official Twitter handle to inform that Solozano has been taken to the hospital for a scan after the incident. The board also said that they are looking forward to his speedy recovery.
