Before the assembly elections in Amethi, the air-to-air claims of the development of the MP and the Union Minister here have begun to be exposed. Election boycott has been announced by putting up a board of no road or no vote in Sujapur village of Gram Sabha Mendan Mavai under Gauriganj tehsil and block area.

Banners have been put up at various places in the village. It is written in it ‘No road, no vote’ and ‘This is the resolve of the people of Sujapur, the leader is finding his own option’. The great thing is that every house in this village has black flags, which keep protesting without saying anything. Villagers say that the condition of the connectivity road connecting Banda-Tanda National Highway to National Highway No.-931 here is very pathetic. There are potholes everywhere on the road. Where there is always water logging. Villagers have to face a lot of difficulties in commuting.

BJP MLA had built the road 18 years ago

This road was built 18 years ago by BJP MLA Tejbhan Singh. Since then this road has not been repaired. Due to which its condition has gone from bad to worse. Gauriganj area where Samajwadi Party MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh is there. Has been in the post for the last 10 years. Three years ago, the work was done for the coating on the road, but this work was done only on paper. The money was rejected, but the condition of the road remained the same.

major drainage problem

Not only this, there are no drains inside the village. Due to which there is a big problem of drainage in the village. There is no way for people to reach the primary health center outside the village. The district headquarter is located just 6 km away from the block. Despite this, nothing has been done in the name of development here. In such a situation, the protest of the villagers is inevitable.

boycott elections until a solution is found

Not only Sujapur, people of 3-4 nearby villages say that till the problem of our people is not resolved, we will continue to boycott the elections. On February 27, no one will go to vote at the booth here. Now all the leaders who are there, all should find their option, because we will not vote. This is the weapon of our people, which comes to our hands once in 5 years.
