Kashmir-like snowfall occurred in Bihar’s Nawada. Heavy hail fell with rain on Wednesday. After this, a sheet of snow was spread on the roads and fields, which the people enjoyed fiercely. People got out of their car and took selfies fiercely.
Hail fell with rain in many districts
Due to the cyclonic circulation in Bihar, many parts including Patna received light to moderate rain on Wednesday. Not only this, hail also fell with the rain in the rainy season. Hail also fell at many places including Barh, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Arwal, Gaya, Bhojpur, Rohtas adjoining Patna. The sizes of these hailstones ranged from 2 mm to 8 mm. So much hail fell in Aurangabad and Nawada that a white sheet of hail was laid on the ground.
The cold increased due to rain and hail
Patna received 13 mm of rain till evening. The rain and hail made it cold. In Nawada too, the temperature in the season has come down significantly due to rain and hailstorm for 15 minutes. So due to the hail falling there, the problems of the farmers have increased. Crops have been damaged in many places.
The Meteorological Department had predicted rain and hailstorm on Wednesday, which proved to be correct. It was a light sunny day. Then in the afternoon the clouds started engulfing the sky. Roshan Kumar, meteorologist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sekhodevara, said that till 5 pm, the district received 8 mm of rain.
