Soon after the autopsy of BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat at a government hospital in Goa, the postmortem report has surfaced on Thursday. Many shocking revelations have come to the fore in this report. According to the report, several injury marks have been found on the body of the actress. According to a copy accessed by Republic, the BJP leader has marks of ‘multiple blunt force injuries’ on his body.
Significantly, a case of murder related to his death has been registered by the Goa Police. After which the revelations have been made in the portmortem report. The postmortem report said, “There are marks of multiple blunt force injuries on the body. In view of the above, it is for the investigating officer to ascertain the manner of death.”
Sonali Phogat was brought dead on Tuesday morning at St Anthony’s Hospital in Anjuna area of North Goa district after a police officer had earlier mentioned that she died of a suspected heart attack. Later the police registered a case of unnatural death.
Goa Police registers murder case in Sonali Phogat’s death
Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka on Wednesday claimed that he was murdered by two of his associates. He said the family would allow the postmortem only after the Goa Police registered an FIR against the two persons. After this, the Goa Police on Thursday registered a case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC on the complaint of Sonali’s brother.
Sonali Phogat’s nephew Mohinder Phogat told PTI on Thursday morning that the family has consented for the postmortem with the condition that the entire process be videographed. Meanwhile, his body was handed over to his family and will be taken to New Delhi by air ambulance at 7 pm on Thursday. Family members and relatives will reach Hisar in Haryana from the national capital. The last rites of the actress will be held on August 26.
Phogat was a part of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 14 in 2020. He entered the show as a wildcard contestant. He had contested the last assembly election from Haryana from Adampur constituency on a BJP ticket against Kuldeep Bishnoi.
