New Delhi, Online Desk. The performance of Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli has not been good in the Indian Premier League this year. Both the batsmen seem to be struggling to score runs. Rohit’s team Mumbai Indians had lost 8 matches in a row in the season and is out of the race for the playoffs. On the other hand, Virat’s team remains hopeful of the playoffs of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, while talking to our colleague Mid Day, asked not to worry about the poor form of both these legends in IPL. He said that both are big players and not running in this tournament should not worry too much. Right now the Indian team has to play a few series before the T20 World Cup and during this time their form will return.

Ganguly said, “I am not at all worried about the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They are very good, and really big players. The World Cup is still far away and I am sure that the tournament will be successful. Both of them will be back in their best form before the start.”

After the IPL, the Indian team has to play in four series before the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. It will begin in June with a five-match T20I series against South Africa at home, immediately after the IPL. After the home series, the Indian team has to play two T20 matches against Ireland at their home. The team will then leave for England where there will be a 3-match series. The team is going to play in the T20 series against Australia in India.
