Stock Market Close: The Indian stock market closed on the red mark today i.e. on December 20 in a highly volatile session. Today, both the benchmark indices of the stock market closed with losses. On the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday, the 30-share major benchmark index BSE Sensex closed at a level of 60,619.76, down 238.67 points, or 0.39%. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ie NSE ended the business at the level of 18,027.65 with a loss of 80.20 points i.e. 0.44%.

Today, shares of HUL, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Life and Nestle India were the biggest losers, while Coal India, HDFC Bank ), Power Grid Corporation, HDFC (HDFC) and ITC (ITC) shares saw an increase today. The shares of these companies etc. were in maximum profit. During this, a decline of about 1 per cent was seen in Metal Pharma and FMCG index. At the end of today’s trading, the trading ended on a flat note in the Midcap and Smallcap indices.

Let us tell you that amidst the mixed signals received from the global markets today, the Sensex opened with a gain of 42 points at the level of 60,901.16 and the Nifty opened at the level of 18115 with a gain of about eight points.

According to the exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have become net buyers in the capital market. FIIs bought Indian shares worth Rs 399.98 crore on Thursday.
