Stock Market Closing Today: Auto index rose by 1 percent, while Pharma, PSU Bank, Metal and Realty declined by 1 percent each. At the same time, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap index declined by 0.4 per cent.

Stock Market Closing: On Tuesday, the second trading day of the week, the Indian stock market closed on a flat note in a highly volatile session. Today, the major benchmark index BSE Sensex based on 30 shares closed on the green mark with a slight gain of 37.08 points i.e. 0.061%. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ie NSE closed at the level of 18,104.80 with a decline of 13.75 points i.e. 0.076%.
Shares of Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto, HCL Technologies and Britannia Industries were the biggest gainers. While Axis Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hindalco Industries, Grasim Industries and JSW Steel closed with losses.
On sectoral basis, the Auto index rose by 1 percent, while Pharma, PSU Bank, Metal and Realty declined by 1 percent each. At the same time, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap index declined by 0.4 per cent.
Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the Sensex opened at 61,122.20 with a gain of 180.53 points i.e. 0.30% and the Nifty opened at 18,183.95 with a gain of 65.40 points i.e. 0.36%.
