Rae Bareli: Teachers who came under inter-district transfer kept wandering for the second day. The counseling could start late in the evening around 7 pm.

Under mutual inter-district transfer, 82 teachers have to be allotted school in the district. On getting approval from the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council Secretary, all BSA offices were called on Tuesday. After about six and a half months, when the school allotment got the green signal, the teachers were also happy. Reached office with documents in the morning. Waited whole day, but counseling could not start. As soon as the server was fine at seven o’clock in the evening, allotment of schools started. Closed again after 9 pm. For this reason everyone was called on Wednesday. Disappointed with this, the teacher returned. Reached office again at 10 am. Been waiting all day. The hungry and thirsty kept wandering due to the non-starting of the allotment process. The school allotment process could start again around 7 pm. BSA Shivendra Pratap Singh confirmed this.

The strike ended on the assurance of BSA

People’s Action Justice for All Foundation (PAJA) staged a sit-in in front of the Basic Education Officer’s office on Wednesday. Advocate Lakhan Singh, Senior Vice President of the organization said that the information being sought from the department is not being provided. Teacher Brajendra Sharan Srivastava Gandhi, who arrived after 3 pm, demanded legal action, accusing him of giving false information. The BSA reached the spot and ended the dharna, assuring them to fulfill all the demands in a month.
