Bijnor, Jagran Correspondent. District and Sessions Judge Mahendra Pal Singh has canceled the bail of Vatsal Bhandari, the clerk of DIET, accused in the scam of Rs 62.76 lakh by forging his signature on the check of the principal of the District Education and Training Institute.

DGC Varun Rajput said that the principal in-charge of District Education and Training Institute, Ismailpur police station, Chandpur, had lodged a report in the Chandpur police station against senior assistant of diet Rahul Kumar, junior assistant Vatsal Bhandari and a bank employee. It was written in the report that the accused Rahul Kumar used to keep all the records related to the transactions of the District Education and Training Institute with him. Documents like check book, cash book, ledger register etc. were kept with them.
Accused of depositing many checks in his own bank account
It is alleged that the accused Rahul Kumar and Vatsal Bhandari, in unison, had forged signatures of the DIET principal on the check of DIET’s check book. Along with this, scam of government money was done by embezzling more than 62.76 lakh rupees. The accused withdrawn government money by depositing several checks in his bank account. The accused Rahul Kumar was transferred to Gajraula on 10 September 2021. In his place, Pawan Kumar was given the responsibility of the post of Rahul Kumar.
The scam came to light in the investigation
When Pawan Kumar matched the amount withdrawn from 71 checks and two withdrawal forms with the check issue register and cash book, the scam came to light due to non-matching. On investigation, it was found that the said accused Rahul Kumar and Vatsal Bhandari had withdrawn the said amount by scam. Along with this, the cooperation of the bank employee was taken in this work. In this case, District and Sessions Judge Mahendra Pal Singh has canceled the bail application of the accused diet clerk Vatsal Bhandari son Dinesh Kumar resident of Mohalla Govindpuram police station Kotwali city.
