The prices of medicines available under Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana are 50 to 90 percent less than that of branded medicines. The ministry said that in the current financial year till October 10, 2021, BPPI (Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India) has sold medicines worth Rs 431.65 crore.
