Corona virus cases are increasing rapidly in North Korea. The first death from Corona was confirmed in Korea on Friday. Because of which Kim Jong Un has announced a lockdown in the entire country and has also directed to increase the measures to prevent corona.
The Corona epidemic has increased the concern of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Recently, he quoted KCNA news agency as saying that the country is facing the biggest challenge after its establishment due to Corona. According to KCNA, Kim said the country should focus on implementing anti-coronavirus measures and promote them to prevent the spread of the disease.
According to the news agency, 17,400 new Kovid-19 cases were registered in the country. After which the total number of total infections has increased to 520,000. According to the Sputnik News Agency, 21 also died due to coronavirus cases. North Korea also confirmed its first death from the coronavirus on Friday. Whereas yesterday at least six people were confirmed dead in the country. On Thursday, the country declared a “national emergency” after reporting its first case of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Yonhap News Agency reported that with this North Korea’s claim of coronavirus-free has ended. The North Korean leader ordered tight vigil along the borders on all fronts, air and sea, in addition, North Korean officials said samples collected from patients suffering from fever indicated they were identical to Omicron variants.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), top officials, including the country’s leader Kim Jong Un, held a politburo meeting to discuss the outbreak.
