New Delhi, Online Desk. Team India’s senior spinner R Ashwin bowled very well with Axar Patel in the three-match T20 series played against New Zealand. Ashwin and Akshar took a total of 7 wickets in three matches against the Kiwi team, while together with Akshar, he played an important role in winning the T20 series for India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Yuzvendra Chahal got a chance only in the last match of this series. Chahal did get a chance in the third match, but Axar Patel was more effective against New Zealand. Despite this, Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik believes that when the Indian team goes to Australia to play the T20 World Cup next year, Chahal will be the campaigner for India.

Backing Chahal, Karthik said that he can prove to be a good bowler for India in T20 cricket under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Dinesh Karthik while talking to Cricbuzz said that he is very good at bowling overseas as well and Chahal must be kept in mind when the Indian team travels to Australia next year. To be honest, I have no doubt that he will be there on that flight to Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022. He would like to improve his game and I also know that Rohit trusts him a lot.

Recalling an incident of Nidahas Trophy, Dinesh Karthik said that I remember Sri Lankan batsman Upul Tharanga playing very well against Indian spinners. Then Chahal came and asked captain Rohit Sharma whether I should bowl defensively against him or should I try to bowl attacking. After this Rohit Sharma said that if your ball hits five sixes, then it does not care, but I want its wicket. After this Chahal did the same and kept the ball on the wicket. He was dodged on one of the balls and then got bowled.
