BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Tuesday hit out at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in Kanpur, saying that “those who remember Jinnah have been reduced to familyism only”.

Addressing a convention of booth presidents of Kanpur-Bundelkhand region at Railway Ground in Nirala Nagar here, Nadda said, “Those who remember Jinnah have been reduced to familyism only. They have nothing to do with the development of the state. It is the work of nationalist forces to answer such people in elections, we all have to remember this.

It is noteworthy that on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, in a meeting in Hardoi on 31 October, praised Mohammad Ali Jinnah in the order of contribution of Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru in the freedom struggle. Named also. After this BJP started siege of Akhilesh by making it an issue.

Hitting out at the opposition parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president said, “We used to say that Ram Lalla will come, build the temple there, and the opposition party used to ask when will he come, when will he build it.” One, he used to interrupt and then used to take a dig at us.

He said, ‘We speak – we have come, the Prime Minister has paved the way for the construction of a grand Ram temple, I want to say to the people of the opposition party – now you also come, bow your head and go ahead’. The BJP president said, “When darkness sets in, there is light, but if you want to enjoy the light, you have to remember the darkness.”

Giving the BJP workers the mantra of victory in the assembly elections to be held early next year, Nadda stressed on increasing the strength of the organization and giving importance to every worker.

The party’s organization covers Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Banda, Chitrakoot, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Auraiya, Fatehpur, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Jalaun and Etawah districts in the Kanpur-Bundelkhand region. Along with Etawah, the native district of SP President Akhilesh Yadav and party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, this entire area has been under the influence of the Yadav family. However, in the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP had won 47 of the 52 assembly seats in the region. The BJP had won 325 seats, including allies, out of 403 seats in the state assembly in 2017 and the party has set a target of winning more than 300 seats for 2022 as well.

Nadda, who arrived on a two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, on Monday taught the booth presidents of Gorakhpur region how to win the elections and today he gave a lot of advice in Kanpur.

The BJP President, while counting the achievements of Modi at the Center and the Yogi government of the state, informed the workers about the schemes and the work done by the government during the Corona period.

He targeted the Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and SP, but attacked the SP in particular, claiming, “There was mafia raj, goondagardi in the SP government, but today no one is visible in it even far and wide.” There is rule of law and order everywhere in Uttar Pradesh.

Nadda said that politics was done in the name of farmers for a long time but farmers were not benefited, only the Prime Minister has done good to the farmers.

He said that as soon as the elections come, the Congress starts talking about waiving farmers’ loans, but it is done like “cumin in the mouth of a camel”. Nadda also gave details of the promises fulfilled in the BJP government and the schemes implemented in the interest of farmers.
