State Bureau, Patna : In the paper leak case of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 67th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination, the team of Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) is conducting raids in many districts including Patna, Arrah. According to EOU sources, based on the interrogation, the investigation team has detained two to three suspects. Their role has come to the fore in forwarding the viral question paper on WhatsApp. On their behest, raids are going on in many districts. The action was going on till late night. Their arrest could be confirmed on Sunday.

Role of BPSC officers also investigated

The investigation team of EOU has taken the list of all the BPSC officers and personnel associated with the conduct of the examination. In this, information has also been sought about which officer was in what role in the conduct of the examination. On this basis, information is also being taken from the concerned officers and personnel. The controller of examination has also been questioned two to three times in this regard.

negligence on many levels

According to sources, the investigation team has found negligence in the conduct of the examination at many centres. According to the investigation team, there can be at least 10 to 12 such centers like Ara, where irregularities have been committed. Investigation is being done in this direction also. Apart from this, there has also been a lack of vigilance required while carrying the question papers from the strong rooms in the districts. Videography at many places and time etc. is not mentioned on the register. Let us inform that on May 8, the 67th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) was held. There was an allegation of paper leak during the exam. The exam was canceled after scrutiny. For the first time in all the districts, the examination was conducted at 1,083 centres. For the first time for 802 posts, a record more than six lakh applications had come for the examination.
