Kullu’s police team recovered 331 grams of charas from a vehicle in Hathithan and arrested three people. All the three accused arrested are residents of Delhi. A Delhi number vehicle has also been seized from them. This action has been taken on the basis of the secret information received by the police. A case has been registered against the three under the NDPS Act and investigation has been started.
The police had received a tip-off that a vehicle (DL 8CBA-3152) was coming from Manikarn towards Bhuntar, which was suspected to be smuggling of charas. On this basis, the police team caught the said vehicle during the blockade in Hathithan and stopped it for search. On search, 331 grams of charas was recovered from inside the vehicle. Three persons were found sitting in the car. The police team arrested the three and seized the vehicle and registered a case against them and started investigation.
They have been identified as 25 year old Disant Gaba son Bal Krishna resident, Rishi Nagar Sankur Basti, North West Delhi, 26 year old Kamal Jeet Singh son Jasbir Singh resident Delhi, 29 year old Manish Batra son Radhe Shyam Batra resident – Mahindra Park, Rani Bagh, Delhi. has happened in Confirming the matter, Superintendent of Police Kullu Gurudev Sharma told that where the consignment of charas was being taken from Manikarn and from where the charas was bought is being investigated.
