The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the ICC Men’s T20 Team of the Year for the year 2022. Three Indian players have got a place in this team announced on Monday. 2-2 players from world champions England and Pakistan have been selected.
The surprising thing is that no Australian cricketer has got a place in this team. At the same time, one player each from Zimbabwe-Ireland has been selected.
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli, explosive batsman Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Hardik Pandya have been included in this team. At the same time, Jos Buttler of World Champion England has been made the captain of the team. Sam Karan is the second player from England in the T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament list. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf have been selected. Babar Azam has not got a place. Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe and Joshua Little of Ireland have also been included in the team.

The Council also announced the ICC Women’s T20 Team of the Year along with the Men’s. 4 Indian women players have got a chance in this team. These include Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh and Renuka Singh Thakur. New Zealand’s Sophie Devine has been made the captain of this team.
