Thunderstorm, rain and hail likely to fall in many districts during next 48 hours in Rajasthan

There will be rain with thunderstorms during the next 48 hours in Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions, there is also a warning of hail in some districts in the next 24 hours.

Due to the development of Western Disturbance in Rajasthan, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in many districts including Jaipur during the next 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of hail in some districts in the next 24 hours. Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma said that due to the effect of the new western disturbance, there will be rain with thunderstorms in Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions during the next 48 hours.

He said that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bundi, Banra, Dholpur, Dausa, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Kota, Churu, Nagaur, Sri Ganganagar, Pali, Bikaner and Jodhpur due to the effect of Western Disturbance. There is also a possibility of strong wind speed reaching 50 kmph in all these districts in the next 24 hours. He said that there may be hailstorm in Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur and Dausa during this period.

Sharma said that on May 24 also, there will be thunderstorm and rain in the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Kota divisions of eastern Rajasthan. However, its effect will remain only in the northern parts of Bikaner division of western Rajasthan. He said that there is a possibility of heat wave in the last week of May due to increase in temperature by two to three degrees Celsius in the state from May 25-26.

In the last 24 hours, several parts of the state witnessed a drop in the maximum and minimum temperatures after rain accompanied by thunderstorms. According to the spokesperson of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Dholpur on Sunday fell by two degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius. Jaisalmer-Sriganganagar recorded 44.5-44.5 degree Celsius, Barmer 44.1 degree, Alwar 43.8 degree, Banra-Karauli 43.5-43.5 degree Celsius, Kota-Bundi 43-43 degree Celsius. At the same time, the temperature on Saturday night was recorded in the range of 32.2 degree Celsius to 22.4 degree Celsius in most places of the state.
