Taking a lesson from the problem of counseling in Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow due to alleged wrong merit issued by the National Testing Agency, Madan Mohan Malaviya Technological University has decided to seek objections from the candidates before the counselling. The university will start its counseling process only after resolving the objections raised by the candidates. The purpose of the university behind this is to clear the confusion spread among the candidates regarding merit in counselling.
Admission is being taken on the basis of UPSAT exam result
For the first time in the university, admission in JEE Mains to B.Tech courses and other courses is being taken on the basis of UPSAT exam results conducted through National Testing Agency (NTA). In this sequence, the university has completed the online registration process from the candidates two days ago. The seat allotment process was just about to start when on October 11, the matter of stopping the counseling process of AKTU due to alleged merit discrepancy came to the fore. In view of this, to remove any discrepancy, the university has decided to give a chance to the candidates to raise objections.
Rank will be declared on website before seat allotment
For this, the university will declare the rank of the candidates on its website two days before the seat allotment to start the counseling. Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey said that the university is committed to keep the process from counseling to admission transparent, so that no questions arise regarding the system of admission.
University has written a letter to NTA
The Vice Chancellor said that the matter of alleged technical glitch in the merit of NTA had come to the notice of the university administration a week ago. A letter has also been written to the NTA on behalf of the university in this regard. Because of this, the candidates who take admission in the university will not be allowed to face any problem.

Madan Mohan Malaviya Technological University has extended the last date to apply online for the vacant academic posts. Interested candidates can now apply till 20 October. Till now the last date for this was fixed as October 11. Along with this, the university administration has also extended the date of submission of hard copy of online application from October 21 to October 30.
