Hyundai Creta remains on top
Hyundai Creta has sold 1,25,437 units in 2021 as against 96,989 units last year. With this, with a year-on-year growth of 29.3%, Hyundai has introduced the second generation Creta in early 2020, with the help of which it has reached ahead of Kia Seltos in the midsize SUV segment.

Talking about the last few years, the Creta has often been the top SUV. Vitara Brezza stood second with 1,15,962 units as against 83,666 units, showing a YoY growth of 38.6%. Keeping this in mind, the company is preparing to bring the new generation Brezza with new updates in the middle of 2022.

Tata Nexon SUV ranked in the top 3
Tata Nexon was the 3rd best selling passenger car in India in the year 2021. This time it has managed to make it to the top-3. With this, it has also crossed the one lakh sales mark for the first time. The compact SUV grew 122% year-on-year in sales.

Hyundai Venue stood at the fourth position with total sales of 1,08,007 units in 2021 as against 82,428 units between January and December 2020, showing a growth of 31% in sales. Kia Seltos became the fifth best-selling SUV in 2021, with sales at 98,187 units in 2021 as against 96,932 units in 2020.

On the other hand, Kia Sonet stood at the sixth position with 79,823 units. XUV300 sold 47,422 units. While Mahindra Scorpio finished at the eighth position, leaving behind Nissan Magnite and MG Hector.
