Since the strictness of Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Vading, the transport department is taking action all over the state. Strict action is being taken against non-refunding and defaulting buses. Only 8 in Amritsar and 25 in Gurdaspur were confiscated in the past. But now after the strictness of the Transport Department, the transport mafia has also been shaken. Private bus operators are now making rounds of government offices.
Regional Transport Authority Arshdeep Singh Lubana said that the orders of Minister Raja Vading are being strictly followed. He has given orders to strictly implement the orders since joining. Earlier, action had to be taken to confiscate the buses, but now private bus drivers themselves are coming to the office and contacting them. Not only this, they are taking full details of tax details and arrears. Assurances that soon they will pay their outstanding taxes. In such a situation, at present no action is being taken on the buses. Strict action will be taken against anyone who still does not collect tax in the coming days.
Action was taken against private operators
Following the orders of Minister Raja Vading, the Transport Department in the entire state was alerted. In Amritsar and Gurdaspur area, the department took action on the buses of companies like Baba Budha Sahib, Rajdhani, Dabwali and Libra etc. and also confiscated the buses. These buses were galloping on the roads without paying any tax.
