Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia supported the choice of Jewar for the next international airport of Uttar Pradesh, saying that this would lead to development of the region. Remind that the opposition had flooded criticism regarding the jewelry location for the airport. Critics had said that Jewar, a remote area of ​​Gautam Budh Nagar, more than 75 km from Delhi, was being developed as an industrial centre.

“The trend has reversed, now connectivity drives growth and in that context, the Noida International Airport is going to change the way we look at Jewar and surrounding areas,” he said.

Asked about the allegations of using a government platform for politics, Scindia said, “It is a fact that earlier governments could not fulfill the promise of this airport and it was only the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of UP. Which has made it possible.”
