New Delhi, Auto Desk. Volkswagen and Mahindra, two leading automakers in the automobile sector, have decided to work together for electric vehicles, using Volkswagen’s MEB electric components for Mahindra’s new “Born Electric Platform”. The two companies have signed the agreement under a new partnership on May 18 and the agreement will be terminated by the end of 2022.
Commenting on this partnership, Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director, Auto and Farm Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are looking forward to achieving the Born Electric vision in the electric mobility space by entering into a strategic partnership with Volkswagen, a key global investor. are very happy. Volkswagen’s extensive technology, innovation and supply chain across supply chains will provide a framework in the development of our next generation “Born Electric Platform”. For information, let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch three new cars in India this year, which include the new generation Vitara Brezza, Alto and a new mid-size SUV. If reports are to be believed, the new Brezza will arrive in June and the new Alto and mid-size SUV will be released closer to the festive season of 2022.
