Kyiv, Reuters. The war between Ukraine and Russia continues. Meanwhile, Ukrainian border guards on Monday repelled an incursion by a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group into the northeastern region of Sumy. This claim was made by the governor of the Sumy region, Dmytro Zhyvytsky.

“The Russian group entered Ukrainian territory under cover of mortar shells, grenades and machine gun fire, but withdrew after border guards fought back,” Sumi region governor Dmitro Zyvitsky wrote on the Telegram messaging app. However, Zyvitsky’s account could not be independently verified.
